A sandbox mode allows experimentation with weapons and enemies, and an apopalypse mode makes the gameplay continuous without pausing between levels. The two bottom allies ( Dartling Gunner, Spike Factory) were added in a subsequent update.īloons TD 4 was released on October 26, 2009, as an online freemium game with a proprietary iOS version released on December 7, 2010, developed in conjunction with Digital Goldfish. Bloons Tower Defense and Bloons Tower Defense 2 Ī screenshot of Bloons TD 4. There are currently six mainline games, and many spin-off games based primarily on the Bloons Tower Defense series. The series was retitled from Bloons Tower Defense to Bloons TD in 2009 due to infringement on the Tower Defense: Lost Earth trademark owned by Com2uS. The newest release, Bloons TD 6, was released on June 14, 2018. There are currently six released numbered games in the Bloons TD series apart from various add-on packs and spin-offs such as Bloons TD 4 Expansion and Bloons Monkey City. Main entries Release timeline 2007īloons Tower Defense and Bloons Tower Defense 2 Towers (WIP)īTD1, BTD2, BTD3, BTD4, BTD4 Expansion, BTD5, BTD5 Deluxe, BMC, BTDB, BTD6, BTDB2 There are also different types of maps rated by difficulty in general, there are more types of maps in newer games. The higher the difficulty the player plays on, the fewer lives they have and the more each tower and upgrade cost. In later games, there are multiple difficulty levels for instance, in BTD5, there are four difficulty levels and in Bloons Monkey City there are six. In Bloons TD 4 onwards, certain towers such as banana farms can be placed to produce additional money during a round (end of the round in Bloons TD 4). Every tower can be upgraded to increase power and other capabilities by spending the in-game currency, known simply as 'money', which is earned by popping bloons and at the end of each round. Each tower has its own unique purpose, power, and use, with some being powerful against specific bloons but unable to target others effectively. Towers are the main defensive utility in the Bloons TD series. With each level, the intensity of bloon waves proportionately increases. In later versions of the game, regular bloons possess sometimes special characteristics such as camo (which most towers cannot detect), regrowth (the ability for the bloons to slowly grow back to their original size), and fortified (which doubles the health of the toughest bloons), that resist certain tower types. Tougher variants of most bloon types contain a number of specified weaker ones. MOAB-class bloons are in the shape of a blimp and consist of: the MOAB (Massive Ornary Air Blimp), the BFB (Brutal Flying Behemoth), the DDT (Dark Dirigible Titan), the ZOMG (Zeppelin Of Mighty Gargantuaness), and the BAD (Big Airship of Doom). As of Bloons TD 6, the regular bloons consist of: red, blue, green, yellow, pink, black, white, lead, zebra, rainbow, purple, and ceramic bloons. There are two classes of bloons in the game: regular (unnamed in the game) and MOAB-class. The bloons always follow the map's set path on the track until they either reach the exit(s), are popped, or are moved to an earlier part of the track by a tower's ability. If a bloon reaches the end of a path, the player loses lives (or in later games, health) once these are all depleted, the game ends. The game is a tower defense game and thus the player can choose various types of towers and traps to place around the track in order to defend against the bloons, gaining 1 in-game dollar for every layer of bloon popped. The main objective of Bloons TD is to prevent Bloons (in-game name for balloons) from reaching the end of a defined track on a map that consists of one or more entrances and exits for the bloons.

The shade range is supposed to correspond with the original Shape Tape Collection. I appreciate this because if you pop them in your draw cap up you can easily tell the difference between the two. The main difference is packaging as the original as a darker purple zigzag on the cap and the new creamy version as a lighter lilac one. Tarte Shape Tape Ultra Creamy Concealer and the original Shape Tape Concealer are both 0.33 oz in size, $27 per shade, and available in 30 shades. The two products are vastly different and are in no way the same in regards to texture, formula, wear, and pigment. Anyone that tells you Shape Tape Ultra Creamy Concealer is going to get you the exact same coverage you get from the original Shape Tape might be using something different than what I tried because I can’t say that and I won’t say that. It’s a good formula! It’s just not as pigmented as the original and the marketing and reviews coming in from a variety of different places can be misleading. I think that’s why I’m not disappointed with it as I wasn’t expecting much and that’s exactly what I got. In my case, I’m very lucky the original Shape Tape Concealer doesn’t crease and it wears long on me without looking dry! When they introduced this new Shape Tape Ultra Creamy Concealer formula I was excited but I didn’t hype myself up into believing it would be as good as the original which is my ride or die. It’s either hydration or pigment and you do have to make a choice between the two. You just can’t have the best of both worlds when to concealer. I find that hydrating concealers aren’t pigmented 99.9% of the time. Fact of the matter is if you want a creamy, moisturizing concealer that’s pigmented chances are you won’t find it. I did a post last week about how I suspected Tarte Shape Tape Ultra Creamy Concealer wasn’t as pigmented as the original and I’m right. It has a moisturizing matte finish that’s ideal for drier or aging eyes that doesn’t settle nor cake into eyes while providing up to 24 hours of moisture and 12 hours of coverage. According to Tarte this is formulated with hyaluronic acid, vegan squalane, avocado, mango, and shea butters. Tarte Shape Tape Ultra Creamy Concealer ($27) is a new, moisturizing, full coverage version of the original Shape Tape Concealer with a built-in eye cream that provides 24 hours hydration and coverage. You need to have everyone using controllers, or have a dummy controller to stay along with the keyboard player. Some games like Dragon Ball FighterZ will not split the players under any circumstances, because it just wasn't programmed to do so. For example, in a lot of games like Cuphead, the person on keyboard must start the game and join the save file first, in order for the game to let the controller be a separate player. The way games behave when one player is using keyboard and mouse, and others are on a controller depends on how the game was programmed. Players are using keyboards and controllers Controls Special, Triangle, Triangle Pick up, Circle, Square Throw weapon, Circle, X + Square Back attack, R2 / Left stick back + Square / X + Square, X +. If you don't have a controller, you can also check how to emulate a controller using the keyboard. The rest of the players will need to use a controller. Check the settings for your game to see if it allows for it. The basic attack (X on the Xbox One controller) in Streets of Rage 4 is a quick jab that can be chained into a combo of four to five hits, depending on which character you’re playing. player 1 uses WASD, player 2 uses arrows), but you can only get as many separate keys as the game allows (for Overcooked, only 2 people can use the keyboard). Some games (such as Overcooked) allow the use of different keys for each player (e.g. This is because Windows and the game has no way to tell which keyboard and mouse belongs to who. Unlike controllers, all keyboards and mouses are seen as one. Multiple players are using keyboard and mouse Everyone must be on a unique slot for them to be seen separately by the game. If you're using an emulator, you also need to make sure you haven't mapped everyone's controllers to the first slot in the emulator settings. Search online if you're unsure about whether your game has this, and how to enable it. Instead, take the time to learn each character's attacks and also how those attacks can be chained together into incredibly powerful combos. You might be able to get away with button mashing on easy mode, but normal and harder modes will punish you for that sort of behavior. Keep in mind that your game needs to actually have a split-screen mode implemented. The first lesson in Streets of Rage 4 is to never just button mash. In A Hat in Time, you need to enable co-op in the pause menu. For example, in Enter the Gungeon, you need to talk to the purple cultist in the hub to enable co-op. Some games will require you to do additional steps in order to split the controls. One cool feature of the game is that you can go and turn it into a simple fighting game in the Battle mode. The game is your classic beat-em-up, but be careful since your stronger attacks will deplete your health. Increased control and accuracy take your gaming experience to a new level with the Backbone One. If co-op controls aren't working and everyone is controlling player 1 in the game, check each of the reasons below. Streets of Rage 4 features beautiful art and colorful hand-drawn characters for you to clean up the streets of Wood Oak City. ZIL-PMEM pre-allocates all space on the PMEM SLOG and implements a scalable storage substrate for the new data structure on top of it. I present ZIL-PMEM, a new PMEM-specific ZIL implementation that builds the refactored ZIL and the new high-level data structure. This data structure is independent of the storage medium and has been extensively unit-tested. I introduce a new high-level data structure for encoding the ZIL log structure along with a crash-consistent recovery algorithm.I present a refactoring of the current ZIL implementation that enables pluggable persistence mechanisms for its contents while preserving ZFS's existing durability semantics, log record types, and logical log structure. The insights gained through this analysis motivated this work, resulting in the subsequent changes to ZFS. PMEM is an emerging storage technology that is byte-addressable and has very low latency (less than 3us for a 4k random write). I analyze the current ZIL's latency distribution on a system that uses persistent memory (PMEM) as a SLOG device.I provide an overview of the current ZIL's design and its role in the overall ZFS architecture. This talk presents my contributions to eliminating ZIL latency overhead. With contemporary storage hardware, this software overhead dominates the overall latency for synchronous IO in ZFS. Despite past efforts to improve ZIL performance, the current implementation still exhibits significant software-induced latency overhead. The ZFS Intent Log (ZIL) is ZFS's mechanism for synchronous IO semantics. Plan for migrating the above changes from ZFSin to OpenZFS 2.x.Ī New ZIL That Keeps Up With Persistent Memory Latency (Christian Schwarz).WPP tracing to collect logs from customer environments without compromising on the performance.Stats we could see using zpool iostat, kstat, can now be seen in one place using Windows Performance Monitor tool. Perfmon counters added for zpool, vdev and cache (ARC, L2ARC, ZIL, SLOG).Integration of Intel’s ISA-L crypto (for its AES-256-GCM algorithm) in ZFSin to improve encryption performance.I would like to give a talk on the below enhancements we made so far: We have been working on OpenZFS for Windows (ZFSin) over the last 18 months or so. ZFS performance on Windows (Imtiaz Mohammad) How to administer ZFS on object storage. How to get good performance from large objects even with small recordsize. This talk will provide an overview of the architecture along with details of the following: Building on the hybrid storage pool model of ZFS, we have implemented native integration of ZFS with object storage APIs and built a new hybrid pool model that overcomes many of the limitations of using object storage for transactional workloads. However, ZFS is adaptable and our team has been working on making object storage a viable backend solution. With the proliferation of cloud computing, the use of ZFS in the cloud has been limited to block storage like Amazon Elastic Block Store (EBS). ZFS has traditionally leveraged block-based storage like SSDs and HDDs. This talk will discuss how direct IO works in ZFS, the semantics, and performance characteristics. Work has been done to fully add direct IO support to OpenZFS for both Linux and FreeBSD, which will allow users to bypass the ARC for both reads and writes. To match other file systems, direct IO in OpenZFS should imply bypassing the ARC with the O_DIRECT flag. At present, ZFS accepts the O_DIRECT flag but silently ignores it. For the majority of file systems, passing the O_DIRECT flag means the page cache will be completely bypassed during reads and writes. However, in certain situations, caching data in the ARC might be detrimental: some databases use their own caching mechanisms, writes sent to cold storage, or a ZPool comprised of low latency, high throughput devices such as NVMe. ZFS was designed to flow reads and writes through the ARC, which in most cases can be beneficial.
